Tom Morgan

Tom Morgan is a 1979 graduate of Auburn University with a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering. While at Auburn, Tom co-oped with Champion Papers in Courtland, AL. Upon graduation, Tom accepted a Process Engineering position with PPG Industries in Lake Charles, LA. While at PPG, he held several production management positions within the company's Chlorine / Caustic division. In 1991, Tom joined Morton International in Moss Point, MS as Project Manager over a multi-million dollar expansion of the company's polysulfide production facilities. In 1996, after five years as the site's Production Superintendent, he was transferred into technical sales for Morton International's Polysulfide-Based Coatings and Sealants. In 2000, Tom joined YS, Inc. where he served as the company's Quality Manager and as a Process Supervisor. Before joining the Alabama Productivity Center in 2003, he spent two years as a crane inspector for Crane Inspection Services in Fairhope, AL. Tom remains heavily involved in Lean Manufacturing training and implementation, as well as managing several student based projects providing technical assistance to industrial clients. He has also serves as an Examiner for the Alabama Quality Award.

Tricia Lowery

Tricia is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a BS degree in Administrative Sciences. She gained her Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Six Sigma/Qualtec in 2001 and Training and Development certification from the University of Alabama in 2005. Since 2001 she has been heavily involved in process improvement and process mapping initiatives to assist organizations in streamlining their processes to eliminate waste. She has also been involved as an examiner and assistant to the administrator of the Alabama Quality Award since joining the Alabama Productivity Center in August of 2006.
